In 1997, Pastor Lorraine became the first female Pastor of the First Holiness Church in Cambridge, MA; later to become Kingdom Empowerment Center.
Prior to her becoming pastor, she worked for seven years as a psychotherapist for Bentley College in Waltham, MA.
Pastor Lorraine is a native of Medford, MA. She has Post-Graduate Certificates from The Institute for Life Coach Training and The Boston Institute of Psychotherapy, as well as a Master of Education degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gordon College.
Pastor Lorraine is a woman of “firsts”. In addition to being the first female pastor of First Holiness Church, she was also the first female Presiding Elder of the UPCAG New England District, the first elected President of the Cambridge Black Pastors Alliance and most recently she has been appointed to be a Chaplain for the Cambridge Police Department.
In addition, Pastor Lorraine is also actively involved beyond the walls of her church. She is currently a Commissioner for the City of Cambridge’s Human Service Department and Vice-Chair on the Board of Trustees for the Cambridge YWCA. She has also served as former board president of Cambridge Cares about Aids and Board member for Safe Havens Interfaith Partnership Against Domestic Violence.
Pastor Lorraine is also the Founder and President of Higher Heights, LLC. A life coaching business which enables people to move from where they are and elevate to where they need to be in order to fulfill their God-given destiny.
Pastor Lorraine identifies with the prophet Isaiah in that she too has been anointed and appointed by God to bring good news to the poor, to comfort the broken-hearted, to set those who are bound free, to give beauty for ashes to those who mourn, to bring joy instead of mourning and praise instead of despair. Her prophetic gifting gives witness to the anointing on a woman totally sold out for the Kingdom of God.
